The purpose of our club is to improve our member's photographic skills. In addition to informative programs, workshops and field trips, we further this goal by providing an opportunity for members to show their digital images and prints at the monthly meetings.
Judging of these entries provides a learning experience through hearing the judge's comments on the member's own photographs and those made on other's digital images and prints exhibited each month. A member can chose to enter digital images and prints in competition classes for points toward a yearly total and high point award. Members are not required to enter digital images and prints at the meetings, but we hope they do.
Monthly meetings feature a program related to photography, plus the showing of digital images and prints entered that month.
At intervals, or on demand, there may be field trips or workshops related to photography.
Since the Club's 50th Anniversary in 2002, the members have exhibited selected prints at both the Sedona and Cottonwood Public Libraries. Rules for the submission and jurying of those prints are distributed to the members prior to the summer break.
